Your Itinerary

Pick up by arrangement at 8.00 am.

The Hunter Valley wine region is about 2.5 hours north of Sydney, by road.

Our guides are expert at choosing the best cellar doors for you to experience, taking into account the taste and palate of the group. Although the wineries may be visited in varying order, a typical Hunter Valley day (all year round) will include:

* A country drive to the beautiful Scarborough Wine Company, Kellman’s Winery or other* similar estate to take in some lovely boutique wines and enjoy expansive views of the Hunter Valley. (*Wineries are subject to change.)

* Lunch is within the Hunter Valley Gardens complex, at your own expense. The places here are not too expensive, have good food, and all share the pretty surroundings of the Gardens. We make a group booking to ensure a table is reserved on the day.

* A wine tasting and cheese platter will be enjoyed at a surprise location.

* Then we head to the fabulous Brokenwood or Iron Gate Estate, or perhaps another winery producing the style of wine you are interested in.

* There is also the option of going to Petersons Champagne House to sample some beautiful Bubbly (because as they say “life’s flat without bubbles”!) If Champagne is not your style then we will visit another boutique winery if your palate and time permit.

* And we won’t leave without stopping at the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company, where you can indulge in some yummy chocolate.

* Then it’s a leisurely drive back to Sydney, to drop you back at your hotel in time for dinner.

Our philosophy on visiting The Hunter Valley is to take in 3-4 wineries and really enjoy the experience. Trying to cram more than this in just leads to an exhausting day without appreciating how wonderful the region really is.

Additional expenses:

Lunch is at your own expense, allowing you full choice from the menu. You may also wish to purchase wine, cheese and chocolate after the tastings.

• Additional guests beyond 3 in your group at $230 per person
