Your Itinerary

Pick up from your hotel by arrangement between 7.15am and 7.45am.

In order to avoid traffic and crowds we head straight up to the Blue Mountains, a two hour drive from the city centre.

The Blue Mountains is a World Heritage listed national park. The area is named for the blue haze let off from its dense cover of eucalyptus trees. In clear weather we try and stop at a very magical lookout where you will get your first glimpse of the rock formations and flora that form the Blue Mountains region. We get some amazing views by taking a small road slightly off the beaten track.

Then its off to visit Scenic World at Katoomba where we experience some of the more popular Blue Mountains attractions. We offer you a complete experience at Scenic World which entails going across the valley on the Scenic Skyway and then descending into the temperate rainforest on the Scenic Cableway. We do a short boardwalk through the rainforest area and then travel back up to the top via the steepest incline in the world… the Scenic Railway. The rides are short and we consider them a “Must Do” whilst in the Blue Mountains, hence the day pass is fully included in the tour price.

From Scenic World in clear weather we get to see the majestic Three Sisters… the most iconic rock formation in the Blue Mountains region.

A note on the Scenic Railway: there are some days that, without notice, the scenic railway might be closed. This is beyond our control and we accept no liability. We still recommend visiting the temperate rainforest and we can access the area via the Scenic Cableway to both descend to and ascend from the valley.

The exploration continues by taking in one other lovely lookout and, if the group is up for it and time permits, we take a small walk to discover the flora of the Blue Mountains region.

Your lunch stop will be in the boutique village of Leura where there are some lovely cafés and places to stop for scones and jam if you prefer. Leura also has quaint boutique shopping for those who want to pick up something special.

Then we leave the Blue Mountains and head to Featherdale Wildlife Park. This is a great chance to get up close and personal with our weird and wonderful Aussie animals like koalas, kangaroos and wallabies. Most of the animals here wander around freely and photographs of patting a koala are at no extra charge. Our guide will accompany you into Featherdale to make sure you see everything and give you some insight into our interesting fauna.

After our action packed day we just have enough time for a spot of Aussie afternoon tea before we leave Featherdale and drive you back to Sydney Olympic Park, the main location of the amazing Olympic Games in 2000. From there you will board a Captain Cook Cruise Vessel or a Sydney Ferry for a leisurely cruise back to Sydney. The Captain Cook vessel has an on board bar and commentary and is a wonderfully relaxing way to end your day. You will arrive at Darling Harbour at approximately 6.30pm or Circular Quay at approximately 6.45pm.
